It’s my wife’s parents. We got up early this morning to drive the three hours or so to the airport to pick them up. They will be arriving this afternoon. Seeing that we had to drive to a different town to pick them up we decided to leave a little early and take in some of the sights and visit some friends we don’t see very often.
We love having folks in from the U.S. It’s not just the luggage full of impossible to get goodies, it’s the community with family. It’s the opportunity to share our new home country. It’s a chance to hopefully spark change in the neighborhoods and communities back on U.S. soil by helping change those going back there.
Mission, for us, is everyday. We want to show others it can be that way for them, too. You can mix your life with those around you on a daily basis and you don’t have to live in South America to do it.
Say little prayer for my in-laws as they finish up their journey. Join me for some great coffee that made the trip, too and think about how you can touch your community.
1 Thessalonians 2:8 is a foundation for much of our method here.
…Because we loved you so much, we were delighted to share with you not only the gospel of God but our lives as well.
We are thrilled to have family with us for a visit. Have a great weekend.
How are Sharing your “…lives as well?”
