The Guest ReTORt

WOOHOO!! Today I am guest posting over at The Daily ReTORt for Tor Constantino. If you are part of the regular Rambling Barba crowd, click over and flood The Daily ReTORt with witty and thought provoking commentary. You know, just like we talked about before. *wink/nod Make him happy that he chose to use my post. If you are not familiar with Tor, despite his mafioso moniker, he is not a crime boss. He is a highly credentialed journalist and a very humble, down-to-earth kinda guy. He is also the best selling author of A Question of Faith. He is a 5-day-a-week blogger and never disappoints. Aside from all of that, he is becoming a father again and decided to gamble on this hack blogger to fill in the gap while he is tending to VERY important matters of family and Dad-ness.

If you clicked over here from The Daily ReTORt, welcome. Kick back, relax and browse a little. I am a missionary living in the heart of South America in the small country of Paraguay. I generally write about faith and life using satire (my wife says sarcasm) as my tool of choice.  Here are some personal favorites to get you started:

What Did You Call Me?

I would like to thank Tor’s wife for the opportunity to guest post on his blog today. Sure it is his blog but without her heroic dive back into the world of birthing, he might not have been so apt to post the likes of me. A few weeks back Tor ripped a post right out of my brain. He just seized it and tore it loose. I don’t think he knew he was doing it, unless those were actually his footprints around my Post Ideas file and not those of the fabled Sasquatch. The post dealt with names. I don’t know how things roll in the Constantino home but I’m betting that picking a name for the newest addition/edition has taken up residence in their free-time hours. Someone’s name is an important piece of who that person is. The giving of that name is met with great ceremony in many cultures. The Native American Hopi tribe in the Southwest would…
